10:30am Sunday Worship
We are a small friendly congregation and we usually worship on Sunday mornings with the service starting at 10:30am and finishing between 11:30 and 11:45.
Worship is a mix of singing, hearing and responding to scripture, a sermon or reflection, prayers, wonderful music and the use of pictures, videos etc to give thanks to God, to explore our faith in Jesus Christ, and to feel the Spirit moving among us.
Services to mark Lent, Holy Week and Easter, Advent and Christmas, Pentecost, Remembrance Sunday, All Souls', as well as services to explore issues of social justice are marked every year.
After closing our buildings during the third lockdown, we are hoping to return on the 18th April 2021, in as covid-secure a way as possible. This means no singing, 30-45min services, social distancing, no refreshments etc.
Our online worship will continue, to enable as many people as possible to be part of the life of our church.
Children & Young People
We offer a creche facility on Sunday mornings for our younger people and we also run a Junior Church for those aged 6 through to 18.
Junior Church members worship with the main congregation for the first part of the Sunday service and they then leave for their own activities.
We hold a communion service on the first Sunday of the month, at Pentecost and on Easter Day.
After the service
Following the Sunday morning service, we normally offer light refreshments in the small hall for a chat and fellowship. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are served with biscuits.
We have a small pop-up choir that sings at Christmas and other occasional services and we would welcome anyone who would like to come and sing with us.
St Paul's has recently replaced its magnificent, but elderly Lewis organ with a high specification digital alternative, which fills our sanctuary with beautiful sound.
So, if you are looking for a church in the South Croydon area
please come along to a Sunday morning service and give us a try.
