Creche - for the little ones

Available for babies and pre-schoolers to have fun whilst their parents and carers are worshipping with us

All our volunteers are DBS checked and we have a wide range of clean, safe toys and activities.  You, your infants and children are welcome anywhere -  in the church,  or in the creche as you prefer.

You are welcome to feed your baby anywhere, if there's anything you need, just ask!

See our infant feeding policy here

Uniformed Young People - Scouts

There has been a long association between St Paul’s URC and the 7th/12 Croydon Scout Group which was founded in 1937 and met at the church until 1968 when it migrated to its headquarters in Birdhurst Rise.

Today we have almost 100 members, boys and girls, in the four sections, namely …..

Beavers aged 6 – 8 years meeting on Fridays from 6.00 pm

Cubs aged 8 – 10 ½ years meeting on Tuesdays from 6.00 pm

Scouts aged 10 ½ - 14 years meeting on Fridays from 7.30 pm

Explorers aged 14 – 18 years meeting on Mondays from 8.00 pm

We are also planning to open a Squirrel Drey for boys and girls aged 4 – 6 years.

The sections have their own programmes with an emphasis on the outdoors and adventurous activities, skills for life, and becoming good citizens. We welcome all faiths and none but spiritual development is at the heart of what we do.

At the moment priority for membership is given to those transferring from another Group, those with siblings in the Group, and those whose parents are willing to help the Group in some capacity.

There is great demand for Scouting but we can only meet the need if adults step forward to be Leaders, Hands-on Supporters or Trustees.
