Date & Time: Saturday 20th December | 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Booking: Not required – all are welcome
Come and experience a peaceful evening at St. Paul’s. The 7th/12th Croydon Scouts will have the Peace Light from Bethlehem, and everyone is invited to collect the flame to take home (we suggest bringing a secure lantern).
The Peace Light from Bethlehem is a living flame lit from the Eternal Flame at Jesus' birthplace, carried by Scouts across Europe and beyond during Advent as a symbol of global peace, hope, and unity, distributed to churches, homes, and public places to share the message of peace and togetherness, especially for Christmas. It's a collaborative effort, originating with Austrian Broadcasting (ORF) in 1986, and involves Scouts and Guides sharing the light from a special flame to promote harmony and good.
